All, recently moved onto the background / pre-employment screening with a large MM in Chicago. I got told that I will need to complete a drug test - I will be testing in NYC. Will I get dinged for THC? Have been a month sober but dont think it has been long enough to pass.

Depends what kind of test it is — urine should be fine (do some extended cardio / drink lots of water before). Hair follicle you’re screwed if you were a regular user.
I feel like there’s laws against testing for THC tho (don’t quote me).
There is a law against it in New York (have taken a pre-employment test where I would not have passed for THC and there was no issue), but I'm not sure how the firm being based in Chicago affects this
I think after a month you should likely be in the clear unless you were smoking all day every day before cutting it off, but worth checking with an at home test (think you can buy at drug stores like CVS / Walgreens)
The will do a urine test, just do an at home first if good you should be fine. If not you might have to use synthetic urine.
