Drunken Lullabies

Monkeys,
Recently I was arrested while under the influence and will likely have some mark on my public record. Nothing serious, just a really stupid decision at the wrong time and place. Anyway, suppose that I am graduating this spring and currently have an internship; I have a full time offer upon graduation with a different firm. I will have to tell the firm where I intern immediately as the court date interferes with my work.

My question is how probable is it that I will lose the full time offer and to what extent will this follow me throughout my career? Also, since it occurred on campus will the school terminate me before I graduate?

I just want to reiterate that this is by no means a felony and there are no victims involved. There is a very good chance that I will have a misdemeanor however. Has anyone been in a similar situation or known someone who has? I'm scared shitless and would appreciate any advice or information.

Second, I doubt you will lose the offer. If you can get a probation with a expungement tacked on at the end, that's a huge thing but there are far worse issues than a public drunkenness charge. I wouldn't worry much about it.
