Curious to get people's thoughts on how reliable are earnings whisper numbers in terms of reflecting the buy-side community? Are they really the consensus estimates of "smart money" investors? Do stocks move more in relation to earnings whispers than published sell-side estimates, or is the data too variable to make such conclusions?
