far from the best. Ultra kills it.
Not familiar with EDC vegas, but went to ultra a few months back. Calvin Harris and Tiesto had an incredible live show. I would imagine it's a similar set for edc. Also words of advice- pace yourself, these festivals are exhausting. Have fun!
I contemplated going to Ultra but decided against it when all the people at Electric Zoo hyped up Vegas. Looked up the the stats and it bigger than Ultra. Also seems more of an experience than Iltra given the people the hire to walk around, and the stages seem more bigger-than-life.
Anyway, I could be totally wrong given that I haven't been to either EDC Vegas or Ultra.
Honestly it doesn't matter which one you go to as long as they have a sick venue, some good DJs and your with a good group of friends it's an amazing time.
I agree, Monkey, and can't wait. Mostly I was just seeing if anyone else on here wanted to share their experiences. It's been a while since I've had a week-long vacation due to my analyst program.

Both are wild. Went to Ultra this year and EDC last year. Ultra's about the music and it's prime because it's in the middle of a city. EDC is about the experience.
I do think the lineup for ULTRA this year was a lot better than the lineup for EDC will be, which is a shame. Those were my exact preconceptions and I can't wait for the experience. I can't believe it's in less than two weeks!
I'll be there. Going HAM. I live for this kinda shit, I wouldn't call myself a typical raver, but a really big EDM fan. The atmospheres at these massive festivals are unbeatable.
Electric Zoo was the first festival I went too. I was instantly attracted to the scene and have since been to as many shows and festivals as possible. Camping festivals are my favorite. I feel that the best thing about these events is how easy going, friendly, and accepting most people are. Whether you are a banker frat-star or a flower child, no one really feels like you are imposing on their turf. Also, it's hard not to be pumped with so many people having fun around you. It's such a great release from the office to lose yourself for a night or a weekend.
I'm going to get some CDJs with my bonus. I currently have an S4 and two F1 controllers from Native instruments, various music software, and find mixing and creating music very fun. I also find that it's the best workout music to ever exist.
