EHS-The New Yorker

This summer I'll be staying at the New Yorker through educational housing services. It's a bit on the expensive side, but I can't complain being that it's a 5 minutes walk from where I'll be working this summer.

Does anyone have any experience with living here? They mention that they have a gym. Anyone know if it's any good?

I'm living there too. I lived at EHS St George last year and the gym next door was awesome. It was also a great squash club which was good for me. I asked the guy at EHS about the quality of the gym at the NYer and he said flat out that its terrible with a couple of treadmills and what not. I'm planning to find a local gym/squash club nearby to join.

OMG this place is TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. I lived there last summer. You can't have overnight guests - fyi. Also, there are bed bugs and the place is just disgusting. If you can, move out/cancel. The location is also the absolute worst place in the city - there is absolutely NO food within a ten minute walk that isn't fast food/junk food. The laundry facilities are also disgusting.

yup it's just this building - you have to pre-register them with the office. not exactly great for a spontaneous hook up. this building is BY FAR the worst EHS property. absolutely fucking terrible. and the location is truly abysmal.

Yeah, thats so wierd with the no overnights... I lived at EHS last year with no problem. The NYer is so close to work though even though theres not much happening in the area. I'm debating transferring to the place i stayed at last year.. it was great but in brooklyn.
