Eli Benched....

I got a notification midway through a conference call. When I was reading I had to do a double take. This is probably the most asinine thing I've seen in a long time to be quite honest. There is no upside to benching Eli Manning for the last few games in a lost season (other than ruining his iron man streak). Geno Smith doesn't give the team a better chance to win, and it wouldn't matter regardless in my view.

Reese and Mcadoo are quite the incompetent duo. The Giants have had an untenable season, but the team had a flawed construction, which has been further exacerbated by some terrible coaching...

Controversial

Poetic justice for the biggest fluke legend of them all.

What has he done besides the 2 sb years?

Only qb to lose 100+ games with the same team interception machine (multiple years where he threw significantly more ints than tds)

But heaven forbid if they somehow get in the playoffs next year: "Are the Giants the most dangerous team in the league?"

He won those SB games with the best pass-rush defenses on his team. His stats were garbage, tyree catch was a fluke, arguably has never even been a top5-7 qb in any year.

Eli Manning is the Villanova MSF of NFL quarterbacks.

ostrich let me steer this ship back...

What do you think his exit opps are? Jets, Cleveland? Will he ever be able to lateral to NE, or Dallas?

Should he try commentary recruiting?

Non target UG doesn’t help his bschool application so M7 is out of question

26 Broadway where's your sense of humor?

Cmon man, Eli manning was a good QB at his best and garbage at his worst. He led the league in interceptions 3 times, his career completion % is below 60, his career TD:INT ration is 1.5:1, he took the Giants to the playoffs 6 times in 14 years, other than those two SB runs he has zero playoff wins.... the proof is in the pudding. If he makes the Hall of Fame it'll be a disgrace.

As much as it pains me to say, he will likely be a 2nd or 3rd ballot HOF qb. He's a manning and his team beat the most hated team in league history. Personally, I think he's not a top 10 qb of the time he played (2004-2017). Any gm would rather have even alex smith than Eli.

The real question is who is a better dark horse this week for fantasy: Garoppolo or Smith?

"Who am I? I'm the guy that does his job. You must be the other guy."

da da da, da da da!!!

what did the room say when your phone rang?

It's always funny when ESPN sends me a notification and my managers come up to me and ask "so who just got traded?" and I laugh, while the women in the room have no idea what we're talking about hahahaha
