Ellipsis...
If you aren't already aware, "ellipsis" is the word used for a series of dots. Most often this series being three dots used as a punctuation mark. I've noticed many of those I work with, a few decades ahead of myself in age, often use it when communicating. It has always came off as passive aggressive to me in nature. I know that this is likely not their intention, but it is quite irritating. For example, I recently received "Thx..." in response to an email I had sent, which simply seems sarcastic.
Truly, this is no big deal at all, but I wanted to see if you all found ellipses being misused in a confusing manner where you work as well.
As you can see, it's a slow December. Enjoy the holiday festivities, WSO.
