Good flick, definitely not the best movie around.

Good movie, it's a pity critics label it as a Matrix copycat.

Agreed that it was a sick movie...it was like watching Patrick Bateman kick ass with guns. Especially when he killed the sweeper team in the wasteland as he was letting the dog go.

Weak plot though...the gun exchange makes no sense, and what happened to the snipers that were supposed to gun him down if he came within a certain distance of the big bad guy?

Definitely not the best film around. It earned its spot as a cult film, but it's not that great of an overall choice. Decent casting is what saved it from being awful. Although the plot did have its holes, it helped establish Bale as an actor who could do action. I mean, it wasn't like the Machinist, which was a fucked up yet well done movie, but served to further Bale's career as a well rounded actor.

It was an excellent film with good acting, a great musical score, a solid story, and some very important messages. If you haven't seen it, it should be on your list.

oh, and compared to today's garbage....it is one of the best around. I would recommend the film to anyone.

I saw this in my senior year English class in highschool. It really is a good movie, definitely underrated.

Just saw it, can't believe I've missed it all these years.

Quality flick, no masterpiece but more than worth a look, especially for history buffs. The casting of Taye Diggs hurts the overall balance though, he's the weakest link without a doubt. You get a big performance out of that role it changes the whole dynamic. Def not a Matrix clone.

Another great Bateman film that has nothing to do with finance in which he acts his ass off and kicks other peoples asses is Harsh Times. Check it out. Totally worth it.
