Exchange Semester: Boston vs. SF vs. LA

Hi guys,

I am currently studying in Europe (target) and I want to do an exchange semester in the US. Besides the Ivy Schools (Harvard, Yale, Princeton) I also want to apply for Stanford and UCLA (and some backups). Besides looking at academic reputation it´s important for me to enjoy my time there so I was wondering how the cities and the student life differ, especially between SF and LA?

Does anyone of you have any relevant experiences with doing an exchange at one of those universities or living in those cities?

Thank you for your help.

Anyone?

Don´t say this in a banking interview: Which superhero would you be and why? I want to be like Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor - me.

When I see something NF I cannot sit idly by. My skin tingles, my blood boils, I know what I must do. Crushes 18 rack of Natty and bangs OPs mom for being a NF Euro-Geed and applying to HPY over SEC schools

Anecdotal, but I think LA is a major shit hole. I'd choose SF if you're set on the California idea.

Cheer up, Bateman. What's the matter? No shiatsu this morning?

Thanks for your reply. Why do you think LA is a shit hole?

The people, the culture, the traffic, etc... SF has more culture, the people are generally friendlier, and the public transportation is better.
