Explaining Job to family?

Exactly how do you guys explain what you wanna do to your family members? I'm trying to hopefully, God willing, get into a BB, then PE, HF and maybe set up my own shop (best case scenario). I've had this planned for awhile and working on the networking and the grades(still in uni) for this and the other day my uncle asked me "so exactly what do you wanna do?" I tried to explain it to him but reality is him (and all family members in reality) will just assume I wanna work some shitty commercial bank job and lateral to do some corporate accounting, which is basically what anyone that does not know finance assume. I have struggles even making them understand the difference between public and private company. So any of you know how to explain your job to family members?

Public Companies: Companies that anyone can buy a small part of. Ex. Walmart
Private Companies: Companies that are owned by a small group of investors / the founders Ex. Local restaurant

What Bankers Do: Advise companies on how to raise money to fund operations and advise companies on the purchase of other businesses

What Private Equity People Do: Purchase entire businesses in order to improve the business and sell for a higher price point later on (like flipping a house)

What a Hedge Fund Does: Manages money for high net worth people, pension funds, and soverign wealth fund by purchasing shares in public companies and hoping they go up or down (depending on outlook)

Obvi this is super simplified and wrong in certain ways - but this is one way you could approach it.
