Father shoots laptop – I lawl'ed

Parenting Game Theory: If you threaten your kid, be prepared to go through with it.

This guy shot his kid's laptop because she posted a pissy little comment on Facebook about him and his wife. Quite frankly, I find it hilarious.

I encourage you to watch. I'm a fan of the fellow's parenting, even if he did just waste money by shooting something he bought. I would've sold it on eBay, but that's just me.

I love what this guy did: shows his kid a lesson and shows the rest of this country how to be a parent. Many people have been freaking out about his "mistreatment" and the "danger he presents to his family". To them I say STFU and GTFO, because they are the cause of the pathetic generation of pansies we're currently raising.

Lastly, I applaud this guy for his handling of the situation. He refused all offers to go on talk shows, etc. and has fully cooperated with any "investigations" into the matter.

I'm pretty sure child services interviewed his daughter.

Yeah, the radio morning show I listen to was discussing the story yesterday. Child services and local law enforcement were obligated to interview him and his daughter because of the number of complaints they received about the issue. Apparently the local cops just laughed and agreed with the guy's course of action.

There is no way that this is child abuse or anything of the sort. The man shot an inanimate object that HE purchased. He's just being a parent in a very strong sense.

I guess there's cause for child services to ask about it, but for them to do anything? I doubt that very much.
