Football Players Awarded For Paying for Stuff at a Store

WAYNE -- Four football players from a North Jersey college are being rewarded for their honesty. The four William Paterson football players who payed for items at a store even though no employees were around are seen here waiting backstage to appear on the Today Show.

The members of the William Paterson University football team each received $50 gift cards after they were captured on surveillance cameras inside a closed store, paying for some batteries and sunglasses at the counter even though no employees were around.

The lock at Buddy’s Small Lots in Wayne malfunctioned and the lights were on, making it appear the store was open Sunday night when Anthony Biondi, Jelani Bruce, Kell’E Gallimore and Thomas James entered between preseason practice sessions, according to a university website. Cameras showed them calling out for a clerk. Gallimore and James can be seen depositing cash on the counter, one waving bills in the direction of a camera.

Of course the liberal media is going to blow this one way out of proportion. All I see is a couple kids evading sales taxes, then being nationally recognized and paid $50 each for their "integrity". I have now seen it all.

Where I am from this is called "normal behaviour". Ah well, times change i guess.

I'm talking about liquid. Rich enough to have your own jet. Rich enough not to waste time. Fifty, a hundred million dollars, buddy. A player. Or nothing. See my Blog & AMA

Tongue-in-cheek, but anyways, I'm guessing if a couple white kids did this, it wouldn't end up on the fucking Today Show, because we all know white kids don't steal.

they actually left enough $ to cover the tax...

Dont see the problem here. While I do not agree that this should receive national attention and a trip on the Today Show, at least the kids were being honest.

You sound bitter that you didn't get that 50$ gift card. Chill.

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
