Getting a Private Pilot License in NYC During BB IB

Hey everyone,

Recently became very interested in flying and was thinking of pursuing a pilot license in NYC when I start FT in IB. I will be joining IB at a BB so understandably this will be limited to weekends when I manage to get an off day.

If I start my training early, could I feasibly wrap up the second half during analyst training? I guess it might make more sense to limit myself to a sport license or a recreational to cut down on the time requirement. Would appreciate any advice or hearing your experience if you also pursued this during your time in NYC. Cost will not be an issue but also curious to hear ballpark estimates of how much it was for you. Thanks in advance!
