Is this the pinnacle of life?? Getting drunk in delta sky lounge watching Bloomberg news?

On golf trip with dad and brother and we went into the sky lounge before the flight and got drunk and watched Bloomberg news

This is life.

Depends on how drunk you're getting and on what.

If you're drinking at the bar, you're already wrong.

The real pro move is to hit the excise-free liquor store for bottles. It's like, free bottle-service but at the airport.

You surreptitiously pop that seal, and badabing, you got 750ml of HouseParty on speeddial.

Ask me how many USOs I've been kicked out of.

Counting Detroit? Seven. CVG, PHX, SEA, DFW, SAT, IAH, and DTW's "Freedom Center"

That being said, none of the aforementioned were actually my fault

Is it? Idk what your actual “rank” is but as you age up to associate or VP relatively speaking and spend more time in airline lounges, you’ll probably find the novelty of getting fucked up there wears out pretty fast. I can’t think of a worse feeling than being drunk as shit on a plane even when mostly flying business as you’re so constrained the entire flight. It’s kinda cool to get blasted the first time or two you do the lounge thing but shortly after it loses its charm.

no question, being drunk on a plane sucks imo. I need to move around while blasted, and that's the last place to do it.

I love a few drinks before a plane ride, especially long rides - I'll get the aisle seat so I can get up and pee all the time.

I remember back when I was 20ish I had a delta amex card and I went to a festival in europe that connected through Amsterdam. On the way back, I get into the Amsterdam airport at like 4AM after not sleeping all night and I am EXHAUSTED. I catch a few ZZs in the lobby until the airport actually opens at 6AM and then I realize that I've been upgraded to FIRST CLASS. So I go into the Delta lounge and I notice they have mimosa materials. I've been up all night and I really need a nap before my 1PM flight so I grab a few mimosas and knock the fuck out and then have the most comfortable flight I've ever had.

The funny thing is, once I grabbed those 6:30AM mimosas a bunch of other people did. I guess they were all waiting for someone else to look like an alcoholic first lmao.
