Going back to undergrad to get a degree in finance or try to get into masters in finance program?
Undergrad was liberal arts now interested in IB. Do I network my way right now without going back to school, go back to undergrad and get a 2nd degree in finance, or try to get into a Masters in finance program?
Network while applying for mfin programs. I assume you're too late for this fall but don't take my word for it. Ideal setup (if I'm right about you needing to wait until fall of 17) would be working wherever you can until next May, network your way into an SA spot and then go Mfin next fall with an FT offer in hand. Maybe during that time you find your way into a FT spot without even needing the Mfin.
Definitely don't go back to undergrad though..
I'm actually going into my senior in college. Do I switch my major to Finance or do what you mentioned above?
Without prior IB experience, an MSF will not do you any good. Sure, you'll have another shot a recruiting, but you'll end up in the same position that you're in now. My suggestion would be to work for several years and then apply to top 15 MBA programs.
