Got Fired From a University Board
I'm a student at a university. I was on the exec board for a club focused on educating kids from the community - although the uni is nice the area around is not. Was informed via zoom that they were firing the whole exec board minus the pres and co-head. Worst of all, the pres is an accounting major headed to big 4 and the co-head is some marketing tool. Wasted so much time during recruiting cycle last year on this club and I am left out looking like a clown.
Just wanted to share my sour grapes.
Yikes sorry for your experiences OP, but at least you learned some skills while in that board right? May you have a better life soon.
Its easier to just to make up extracurriculars. Last time someone asked about them I said I was the leader of the catholic club on campus. Think I need to go to confession after that one

Honestly, I've done this. Made up some things that were kind of hard to verify and no one really asked about them anyway.

Dude I was allegedly the "Chair of the finance society" (Finance society? at my tier 300 university? yeah right), "Vice chair of the raising and giving society" (this one existed, but I didnt know about it while I was there and I sure as hell wouldnt hang around with those dorks), "Captain of the football team" (yeah fucking right I aint played in years bitch).
joking aside, you can still talk about your exp. im looking at joining a charity as a trustee atm I just cant be fucked applying. im thinking about paying someone on fiverr to compose my covering letter.

I know your right, but deep down I always wanted to a high school teacher. Failing as a club exec board (overseeing education development) - as funny as that is - still sucks. At least right now. Maybe time will help
