Given the topic at hand, it's fair to assume GPA is = 3.0?

On a side note, check your unofficial transcript, typically the semester gpa is listed there along with the overall.

I'm going to assume you are in high school or are too young to know better and I'll try to help.

Convert your As, Bs, Cs, into the value each grade is worth (As are usually worth 4, Bs are usually worth 3, etc). Multiply each value by the number of credits the class was worth (Earning a B in a 4 credit class would earn you 12 points). Sum the number of weighted points earned and divide that by the sum of credits (if you only had that one class it would be 12/4=3.0).

I hope this helps.
