Happy Birthday, Jarheads!

"There are only two kinds of people who understand Marines: Marines, and the enemy."

Happy 235th Birthday to my fellow Marines on the Street, and everywhere in the world. If you've ever wondered how the Marines arrived at the eagle, globe, and anchor for an emblem, it's simple: they stole the eagle from the Army, the anchor from the Navy, and on the 7th day when God rested, the Marine Corps stole the world. Semper Fidelis, gentlemen.

Eddie, I think it only fitting that you make a trip to Tun Tavern this weekend in honor of the Marine Corps. Birthday...its in Philly so a cheap flight shouldnt be hard to find

Edmundo BravermanI wonder if Tun Tavern is still around in some form. I hear there's a shindig brewing in Philly this weekend. Could be trouble.

It is still standing and serving brew

Well what a marvelous coincidence. You could do your duty to the grunt and yuts and be there for whatever shindig this is.

Much appreciation to all those who are on the front lines, who were on the front lines, and who will be on the front lines. Happy Birthday Marines, you guys are bad-ass.

Eddie, is that a photo you before the street stole your youthful good looks?!?

Just want to say thanks to the USMC and all those devil dogs that have sacrificed for the benefit of our citizenry. Happy Birthday!

Regards
