Tbh I've seen more impressive internships from other people, you will be amazed what some people accomplish these days

You don't get a Masters in Biophysics from MIT just to go work in private equity. Your ass would probably be found in a lab doing mystical stuff that I don't understand.

LOL

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

lol @ mystical stuff Or you could be burned out with academia by the time you're done and want some money ASAP and go do PE.

Money can definitely motivate you to do things you don't want (calling all my 3am hookers), but I don't know if someone with that depth of knowledge would/could deal with the crap of PE. It's stimulating up to a point, but you're not inventing things with every deal. Maybe become a highly specialized consultant on purchases (is this company's drug good? Are they doing the right things in solving this disease to be successful? etc.) or join a very industry-specific PE firm.
