How cooked are we with trumps new policies? UK BB Assc

Joined BB coverage team in the UK 2 to 3 months ago, and I’ve been anxious as hell since the new policies as clients are starting to hold back on deals. What’s it looking like for rest of you? I’m sensing a few cuts coming. What does one need to do for survival?

What caused 2008 was not the Lehman bankruptcy, but the total collapse in confidence that followed it.

Trump’s moves, while terrible, are not going to cause a recession alone - his batsh*t, volatile, unpredictable policy making will.

Once you get a collapse of confidence, which is happening right now, that’s when sh*t hits the fan - banks pull back on lending, spreads blow out, stocks keep collapsing, etc. I’m praying Trump says something that isn’t totally crazy over the next few days, because otherwise this will get bad.
