How does RX works in Europe?

To my understanding, for US is straightforward: You have case law, Chapter 11 and mostly everything is flexible as long as it isn't illegal.

But what's the RX industry like in Europe? Is as flexible as in the US? Some issues I might think of: Certain transactions which in US would be acceptable in EU would be considered "bad faith" + cross-border RX (multiple jurisdictions which their unique procedures involved) may be a pain in the ass even if there's a Directive.

Also, who are the major players in RX EU?
