How Many People Actually Use WSO?

Hey guys,

I was wondering how many people actually use WSO in the industry? is it more common among analysts or will you also see VPs and MDs on it? Do people use it frequently? or is it looked down upon by other team members ?

I've thought about this too. Do you think analysts from megafunds or students from HYPS use this site as much as others?

I wonder whether it’s just a timing / cultural thing of age. will people who are analysts now and use it a shit ton and very used to using it hop back every few weeks as they go up the ranks? will they give back when they get to principal director partner etc? I’d like to think so vs. the few who do now who started using the site when WSO came out. this site hasn’t been out that long necessarily and if it brings some attraction as a place of honest discourse, better than twitter or Facebook for example, I’m always gonna hop on here to share my own thoughts and experiences and try to give back as best I can.

at the same time I use this site when I’m taking a shit and that’s about it unless I really wanna type something out. so there’s that.

I stumbled across this website when doing research for tailoring my resume, interview prep, etc.. I would imagine 90% of website traffic comes from this. Then through word of mouth. Most are applying candidates, SAs, or SAs and FTs who have used this website to assist with preparation. Then it remains active because autismos like myself like asking questions to other people doing similar things.
