How old is too old to have a roommate in NYC?

Just wanted to get a pulse on what everyone thinks. I feel like from a societal expectation standpoint, I feel like that threshold floats at around 30. But mind you, I’m in my mid 20s and not from NYC / the northeast. Basically wanna see how long I have left in NYC until it’s time to rent my own place…

This is pretty silly. There’s no “age” where you become too old, just whenever it makes financial or social sense. If you have a family I guess it’s different but if you’re asking this I doubt you have a spouse and kids.

I think the new law they passed during the last legislative session says you can't legally have a roommate past age 28.

Is this Bidenomics?

Say a 58 y/o bachelor. What's wrong with him still having a roommate? Unless you argue that he should buy a bachelor pod cuz it's a better financial decision long term

Bro if I was a 58 y/o bachelor in NYC, I’d buy or rent a 3-4BR and charge cheap rent to invite 2-3 hot chicks to move in. This is the way. I’ve already done this once before in my 20s, but with normal priced rent.
