How to be a more interesting and complete person

So this is something I have been reflecting on recently: the fact that I just don't think that I am all that interesting of a person. I am doing well in school and have a good career lined up, but still, I just don't think that I have a diversity of experiences in my life that leaves me with something new to always talk about. Part of it also is maybe self consciousness, something that I've been working hard on improving. Maybe it's because I grew up in a pretty comfortable setting and never got to really get out there.

Recently I've realized that I spend so much of my free time just watching dumb content on social media and on streaming services, and that I'd be better served reading about history or science to expand my general knowledge base, but I find myself feeling lazy and unmotivated, for some reason it feels like work rather than leisure.

Travelling has really opened my eyes to other ways of living and the fact that there is more to life than what I've grown up with for the last 22 years in the US, and I think that's started to enable me to expand my perspective, but I think there is more that I can do. I've also picked up hobbies over the last few years, standard stuff, but I've found that to help a little as well.

Anyone else go through something similar and have advice on how to improve?

Traveling is good. I’d encourage trying tri sports (swim bike run) and also Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu. Hitting up the gym is good too. Surfing and snowboarding are a blast as well.
