How to Handle Lost/Poor Networking Contacts?

'23 intern here. A few firms that I am otherwise well positioned to have a shot at for FT have some analysts/associates that I have not spoken to / reached out with since the interview process, some of which includes those with whom calls/email chains went poorly. Not that I did anything wrong per se, but it was just early on in the process and my overeagerness and failure to come off as an ideal, sociable candidate might harm me as I look to network with them/the firm again.

Any thoughts here? Am I overthinking this, and I should email them on a new chain, briefly mentioning that we connected early last year and ask to speak again and catch up? Or should I try to network "around" them and just not reach out at all. Would appreciate any advice, thanks.

Bump, also preparing to re-recruit for FT positions soon and not sure if I should revive old connections or start completely fresh.
