How to start talking about finance after exiting

Hi guys,

I did 2 years at a top EB (PJT/EVR/Lazard) and recently exited to a Corp Dev / Strategy role at a tech company (Doordash/Grubhub/Uber) and can't stop but mention I used to work in investment banking everytime I meet someone.

it is to the point when someone asks where I work, I feel I need to mention I used to work on wall street and now am in corp dev. Is it because of the prestige of finance? I actually find myself wanting to wear my banker bag when I am at the gym instead of the one I got from my current company so people don't think I deliver food for a living.

Has anyone else experienced this? How do I let go of of the prestige associated with my previous job
