how to style long hair for summer internship
None of the female bankers I networked with had long hair like mine (elbow length). Any kind of updo is out of the question (been experimenting with different styles, can't do any of them for >6 hours without scalp hurting). I was told by bosses at previous internships that leaving hair down makes me look somewhat unprofessional, and I want to be taken seriously. My hair is shiny and well cared for though so I don't wanna chop them off yet. Ok to leave hair down? Thoughts?
Get a hair cut and stop complaining
I mean as long as you're comfortable knowing that you will be viewed as somewhat unprofessional, and likely won't be taken as seriously (as your feedback suggests) then yeah, fine to leave your hair long and down.

I'm black and have really big hair so I understand your frustration because it's always so hard to know what is seen as professional or not. I think if you layer it and curl it, it'll look really nice.
I'd check your offer letter to see if hair length is mandated

If you like your hair why should you have it cut? If other female bankers don't have long hair, it doen't mean you must act in the same way. This is your choice. The main thing is to behave confidently, I guess
100 chance not a single guy will even notice if your hair is up or down. Its like asking guys will care if you wear eye liner or something....dont notice....dont care. However i bet the female bankers can be judgemental AF to female interns about fashion makeup hair etc. But on the guy front....no issues
