There's actually a lot of truth to this. Happiness is all relative and the more TV makes stuff idealistic, the shittier life seems (and also drives us to "escape" to TV even more). Quite sad, really.
Happiness is soft clothes, a sturdy roof, and a hot body at night.
This is exactly why I watch reality shows like The Real Housewives and Jersey Shore, they make me feel good about myself, lol.
