I hope these people are unemployed now.

I'm referring to the group of suave young guns of Wall Street at the dinner table (at the beginning and around 2:30) I have nothing against investment bankers, but these guys just seem like major d-bags. I just came across this show this week by the way. I especially like the fat nerdy guy in the tan suit.

I know that. I just found it pretty hilarious, especially since they were probably not making nearly as much money as they made it out to seem. We obviously know how successful Tim Sykes turned out to be.... I really don't know if I could work with kids like that. I don't think I could stop laughing.

I agree Ricqles...the only thing strange about it is that it was put on youtube

Wat.

You really sit around lunch with your fellow analysts/associates talking about money? I'd interrupt that conversation in a heartbeat if I were sitting at that table. When people say they're looking for well-rounded candidates, they're really hoping to avoid people like the ones found in this video.

This was actually from a show on MOJO called "Wall Street Warriors," so I don't think he actually posted this video himself, although they were definitely trying to play big shots to the cameras. Are most trading/ IB/ Sales guys in New York like this? Do they let their egos get to them even if they're just a first year analyst, or they have a fund with only a couple million?

Women say they want nice guys, but end up banging the asshole. Trust me, banks want money hungry kids. Nothing but dollar signs is going to keep you changing commas and fonts at 4am in the morning.

Well said. Banks want kids that are hungry for money but who are capable of pretending they aren't.

Exactly. These kids are acting like big swinging dicks, when, in fact, they are merely kids.

my HS friend from columbia who's start up just snagged $1.1 Million 2 days ago in angel funding. took him 6 hours to flag down the guy, invite him to a cowboys game, and smooze him into coughing up dough. not his money but his shit is well on it's way to using it pretty well.

funny thing is, he was rejected by goldman sachs, morgan stanley, and JPM sophomore year after just the first rounds. another story of "who's got the last laugh". if he does end up striking it big, that's what i'll call "FUCK YOU MONEY"

Good story. I think it's more of being able to laugh at the haters when you're exceeding their salary and expectations. These kids just seem entitled and dillusional.
