I need the help of a bright, young, analyst: how to predict demand?

You have to predict demand for a new type of car.

It is situated between a compact size car and an SUV.

It has record breaking gas mileage, to the point where it will not have to be refilled often.

What is a way to logically find its demand?

I'm old and slow, so ineligible to answer your question, even though a few seconds of thought would give you the answer eg go look at Tesla's sale figures, compare to sales of other manufacturers in the same market, look at consensus forecasts for car sales.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.
