I'm French and I'm searching a good Airline company.

I'm going to fly from Paris to Boston/New york in 10 days.
As I'll travel a lot throughout the USA plus flying France-USA quite often (twice a year or even more) I expect to be a regular customer of an airline company.

I was thinking about American Airlines because their loyalty program is great and has great partners such as British Airways (I'll still earn miles flying British Airways when flying from Paris to my hometown).

What are the seats/food/service supposed to be in eco/premium eco and business classes ?

Thanks

I'm a lifetime platinum AA flyer because my ass has been stuck in AA and One World affiliates for more hours than hours than anyone should ever attempt. AA international is good but domestic sucks, but pretty much all US carriers suck domestically. BA international is a step up and other One World airlines like Cathay are awesome.

The best way to pick an airline is to choose the one with the most flights from your local airport, see if there are direct flights to the place(s) you'll be going to the most often, then look at which alliance they belong to to see if you'll be able to take advantage of accruing and using miles when you fly the affiliates.

I'm a Delta guy.. it's pretty expensive to use their miles for tickets but I've gotten a lot of free upgrades and it seems to me they are more on time and have less cancelled flights than other airlines. A lot of people like United but I avoid it like the plague.

The problem with Delta is that Hartsfield is just insane. It's the worst airport to use in the summer when you have an afternoon summer flight. Constant delays because of storms.

Surveys have found that Delta has a slight edge over United and American in terms of service. Additionally, American is merging with U.S. Airways, so delays, lost bags, and other service failures are likely to increase (they certainly did for United when they merged). A good option for you would be to fly Air France (which partners with Delta) to get to the U.S. and to fly Delta once you get here.

Thanks for the answers. I hesitate between One star (AA and BA) and Skyteam (Air France, Delta). I checked flight reports and this is what I deduced:

AA : great economy class, very nice staff but low quality food even in Business class Air France : economy class/premium eco seats are crap and uncomfortable but the food is good Delta : same as AA, depending on the airplane
