Imagine accidentally being unmuted on a call
Monday rant - seems we have been in a Teams / Zoom call environment long enough now that anyone with some semblance of a functioning brain should notice when they are not muted on a call. On large internal call this AM where there were several non-important pigeons that had no chance of talking feeding background noise into the call and it bothered the fuck out of me. How dense do you have to be to not notice that at this point? I'm not talking about high level employees that have zero tech savviness, but analysts / associates / HR people that will surely not be speaking on the call and can really just dial in and go on mute. It's not even the noise that bothers me, it's the fact that you're that fucking clueless. Not a difficult concept.
Have a good week everyone
Literally the other week we had someone dial into a call from a grocery store and not realize they’re unmuted. This was a department wide call with senior management.
