IMF Chief Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703…

"Mr. Strauss-Kahn, 62, was apprehended by police in the first-class section of an Air France plane minutes before it was to leave New York for Paris on Saturday night, according to law-enforcement officials in New York. Earlier in the day, Mr. Strauss-Kahn had allegedly sexually assaulted a maid who had come to clean his room at a hotel in Times Square, a New York police official said."

Thoughts on how this will play out in the markets?

from the same article "Mr. Strauss-Kahn had been widely expected to leave the IMF soon to enter the race as the leading Socialist Party candidate, and was running ahead of President Nicolas Sarkozy in recent polls. "

They say the maid looked exactly like Carla Bruni.

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis, you can't trust people Jeremy

Setup or not, DSK does have a history of engaging in this kind of action. He doesn't look that innocent, and as head of the IMF, he hasn't done a bang up job at running that either.

He has a long history of womanizing + assault. The US selectively enforces rape rules with high level international figures [our gov't doesn't actually care much about the issue]. The bottom line is that he's pushing for increased bailouts and we're making it hard for him to continue to support this cause.
