Industry Season 2 Premiere Discussion

Didn’t see one so I thought I’d start it

just sharing some thoughts:

Thoughts

•    Honestly, harper would have been fired long ago lol. No one can disrespect an MD, let alone another trader and generally the entire fucking floor and still stay in a job. Especially if this is indeed meant to be a mirror of JPM.

•    as someone who has works on a trading floor, the part about rumours of London drinking too much and leaving too early…too real. Especially compared to Asia and US

-Yasmin is kind of a grade A cunt huh

•    Rob’s story could go to an interesting place - he was very lucky that pitch at the end was to a rather quirky person to say the least

-kinda curious if kenny is actually a decent guy now or just faking it

This show is a guilty pleasure of mine. Not a good show at all and totally unrealistic but I am still watching

Every now and again something relatable happens but 90%+ is garbage and more like a soap opera

This is the best take. Show is garbage, nothing like actual S&T. Kind of annoying when pivotal moments in the show are out of touch.

Most accurate part of the show is Yasmin. She’s “S&T Hot”, meaning hot on the trading floor because it’s 80% men and no one else to look at. But she would blend in to the background at a popular bar.

I feel like this is what Billions started as, and since that show turned to shit this might be able to be a decent replacement.

The poster formerly known as theAudiophile. Just turned up to 11, like the stereo.
