Insomniacs Unite

What do you do for your personal sleep issues/insomnia?

Personally, I have had chronic insomnia since I have been a child and it continually persists.

Any of you all who have insomnia currently, have had it in the past and overcame it, or you simply wanna drown in insomnia-related self pity with me, please feel free to share with me what worked for you or didn’t work for you when it came to actually getting some quality sleep…

In terms of medications — I have tried plenty (7+) of SSRI’s (they don’t help me sleep and actually make me feel more depressed - Thank you big pharma) and zolpidem actually helps me but I don’t like to wake up groggy the next morning… I remember seeing an Elon tweet one time where he said “It’s often a choice of no sleep or Ambien…” … And after taking zolpidem and it actually helping me sleep,.. I was like Haa, same

Lastly, I do drink caffeine but try to limit myself to 6 cups of coffee maximum, and do not drink alcohol often

Let me know how I can catch some Zzz’s Plsssss

Absolutely joking. I moreso don’t wanna have to rely on drugs (whether it be a benzo, sedative, etc.) to be able to sleep or have to rely on drugs (coffee) to not feel like I got smacked by a bus isn't that a dichotomy
