Insufferable LinkedIn Posts

Sorry - I know this topic gets posted often but I've been seeing some particularly worrying trends. Just this morning I saw an entire post by an intern that said "Can't believe my internship with XYZ is halfway over! This has been such a great learning ....." and they finished it off by including a full picture of the bank's logo. Wtf is this? How could making it halfway through a virtual internship possibly warrant a full LinkedIn post? Smh

This is why I stopped using LinkedIn, so much shite it's insufferable sometimes.

Unfortunately for the kids posting this tripe, it's usually driven by careers services in colleges and HR at the various internships who for some strange reason keep harping on about LinkedIn being vital and needing to constantly update it - which means the kids don't know any better and just think that's what you're meant to do, especially as they see their classmates and fellow interns make the same posts.

Agreed - LinkedIn is on a slippery slope. Soon it will be Facebook2.0 and unusable. The political posts have already started to trickle in too....
