Well it happened, I finally got a SA offer and will be making the trek to NYC. Need some advice on what to do about housing. Is NYU the play or are there better options for a short term stay like mine? Would love to hear what people who have gone through the analyst track have done in the past.

Also interested in an answer to this. I'm going to be working in Midtown. Are you looking for something solo or with roommates?
I am looking for either, living alone blows i did it when I was in California this past summer and it was lonely af. I'm working in midtown as well.
In a similar situation, would be interested in room mates but dont know anyone in NYC. Maybe dm we can make a group chat or something? Midtown as well.
I am also in midtown. Definitely interested in potential rooming options!
also interested, particularly lower Manhattan
The train station is not a terrible option. Will be warm during the summer and relatively safe. And besides you won't be there much (assuming IB) so it won't be that bad.
bump
I did EHS housing last summer in Midtown for around $5,500 with a roommate, rooms were pretty big, and 5 minute walk to work. I will be doing the same this summer - also looking for roommate.
