iPhone Q

Hey there,

I want to buy an iPhone but want to use it in Europe and I was just wondering, if the it has any SIM card in it. I wanna know this, since in Europe the cell phones have SIM cards, and you can just switch operators by switching the cards. Now if the iPhone has any spot to put card into, I can use the iPhone in Europe. The phone itself will be about twice the price here, than in the US, plus who knows when it gets here....

I appreciate your help!

If you buy the iphone in the USm it will be locked, thus defeating the purpose of beaing able to stick a different SIM in it and using it elsewhere. Also, anyone correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the only way you can buy the phone, by buying it with a contract? I don't see the point of signing a contract if you won't be in the US. There are some good news though, the iphone will be released int he UK by O2 in november, although I believe it will be locked as well (even though O2 tends to not lock their phones) and Orange will sell the phone soon as well. Here's where it gets good, Apple didn't do their due dilligence and realized that there's a law in France prohibiting the sale of "locked" phones...France may just be the only country where you can buy it unlocked
