I'm one of the more lenient people when it comes to judging LinkedIn (yes, I'm fine with the "glad to announce I'll be going to X next year", etc...) but doing that for insight programs is embarrassing.
I wouldn't even put that in your experience section.
On a resume, I'd put it if you really have nothing else just to show that you're taking initiative.

 

I would put it in experience section as a line item (no bullet points) but don't make a post about it or let LinkedIn auto-post the change for you

 

Yes. 1000x yes. Don't add to it. The number of those kids that washout and accomplish nothing of merit is innumerable. Save yourself the embarrassment.
