Is it inappropriate to use a LinkedIn pic of a celebrity and oneself if one gets permission from the person in question first?

Some of the people at my university have their picture with Warren Buffet on their LinkedIn profile; is that gaudy?

Edit: When I said celebrity, I meant finance/Wall Street celebrity.

Why would you? It's not Facebook. Post a picture of yourself in a suit, that's what people want to see.
