Is my boyfriend lying???
Hi everyone! I know this seems like an odd post but I wanted to ask the experts. So my bf was a summer analyst at a bank (hint: Credit Suisse) and received a return offer. He told me that they also offered him a fast track program so that he would make VP in 5 or so years I believe?? A little back story, he has a history of lying or twisting the truth and I honestly just don’t know if I can trust him on this. Is this actually something they offer summer analysts before they’ve even started full time? Thanks so much.
What the fuck has this site become
this doesn’t seem like a thing but I have no idea. more importantly tho, why would your boyfriend possibly be lying about this?
Retention
That's the program that encourages wifeswapping too iirc. Heads up....
They don't offer this to interns, but could see how he arrived at this on his own
There's a street trend with "fast track" promotion between analyst and associate- typically 3 years, most banks now promote after 2 years. I'm sure his staffers were promoting this as banks are desperate to keep A2As, but associate to VP is a long and treacherous path of its own
You could hit VP in 5-6 years as a superstar but this isn't some guaranteed program CS offers
thank you for responding!
Why don't you ditch the wannabe VP for the real thing ??
My number is (212) 583-5000 ;)
Edit: Ask for Steve. They'll know who you're talking about.

Sir, you have posted cringe. I'm afraid I'm going to have to delete your Fortnite account.

Babe wtf I'm not lying. You know what, fuck you. This is over.
Someone probably told him “if you do well and stick around, you can be a VP in 5 years,” which isn’t far off
^^ that's what I'm thinking. Someone pumped up his ego, but it's not an actual program. "Stick with me here kid and in 5 years you'll make VP, tots"
What about VP of janitorial services?
I also just wanted to add that he made it seem like it was very formal and that he was speaking to all of the MDs to try to convince him to accept the offer...?
Could be totally wrong, but 99% sure he's stretching the truth (lying) to impress you. Why beat around the bush, you're dating the dude, just ask him...
No clue if there is an official "fast-track" program, but making VP in 5 years seems to be the new standard path for an A2A. 2 years as an Analyst, 3 years as an associate. This has become pretty standard at my bank.
Whomst VP?
I can make VP in 4, DM me
LOL this is definitely him trying to impress you and assuming he’ll be an all star.
5 years to VP is definitely possible but normally takes 6-7yrs
Hating ass bih trynna make homie a simp
This is the stupidest thread I have ever seen
Talk to him! Of course forum users should know better :)
OP - why do you care if he makes VP in 5 years?
