Job searching at work.

Who else spends half their day minimizing efinancialcareers.com as their manager walks by, and then re-opens it before an appropriate ammount of time passes? My urgency to gtfo of here grows by the second. Granted im a retail adviser ( i know, im lower than squirrel nuts) but who else is praying to find that ripe, glistening, peach fuzzed gape of a S&T job with no regard for their current career? Speak up boys.

yup - check it on the way to work, while making coffee, any visit to the restroom, taking a five minute break in the afternoon...sitting at my desk...the possibilities are endless and totally under the radar.

it's also funny how, after doing this for a few months, you start to get a sense of exactly how each of the job boards/recruiters repackages the same job listings, usually a day or two apart from each other. matching the anonymized firm names to their real identities...fun stuff

Everyday all day... use a tabbed browser and keep up company career sites checking twice a day so I can get my rezzy in asap

I once had my boss walk in and comment on the job i was looking at and then walk off. It kinda shocked me.

I've stumbled upon my former boss looking for work before. It was kind of awkward...

No, like 'guy from MS emailed me and we were talking, apparently they're looking for XXX, I can put in a word if you want"
