Jobs that you would rather have?

Just wondering for those of you who are currently in the industry, are there any other jobs that you wish that you could’ve had instead. Ex. (Actor, Model, Musician, Athlete etc.) Jobs that you felt were too much of a pipe dream.

Acting would be my dream job if it weren't so hard to get. Heard you have to pay your dues as a waiter for several years before getting your first gig as an extra on My Little Pony first though...

Will update my computer soon and leave Incognito so I will disappear forever. How did I achieve Neanderthal by trolling? Some people are after me so need to close account for safety.

would you mind letting a fellow watch enthusiast in on your secrets?

I don't pay too much attention to it but basically run a search on WatchRecon and WatchPatrol to see what comps look like. I've bought a few pieces brand new from dealers that I made money on but it only really works for higher end pieces like the Lange Zeitwerk I just picked up. I got the watch for less than used prices brand new from a dealer with full warranty.

Right now I really want get into watchmaking. Not as a watchmaker though because I am a clumsy idiot.

To satisfy the itch I will invest in and scale a small independent watch brand. Cold emailed 15 brands this week and now we wait! Probably won't make much but I think it would be fun to grow out sales for an independent brand via digital channels as most suck at it.

That's awesome about the brands. I picked up a Baltic Aquaschaphe dive watch a couple months back and am digging it. Also a fan of Oak & Oscar and Halios.

Rally car driver and F1 driver. The “and” was intentional. Kimi Räikkönen did this. Seems like such a fun way to earn a living.

Something exciting in the aviation / astronautics industry, such as naval aviator / fighter pilot or astronaut. Saved up money as a kid to go to Space Camp, learned I had super severe motion sickness. Didn't want to be on the ground.

Maybe I can look into commissioning as a Space Marine in the Space Force...

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

As a grad whose offer got rescinded, any job lol.

But more seriously, NBA FO would be cool, but their hiring is indefinitely frozen from my connections. A top VC like Sequoia would be sweet, and on the non-business front it'd be cool to be a Youtuber/Instagrammer or TV personality that eats good looking food.

Also back when I was in highschool if I would have gotten on the COD youtubing trend earlier, making the money that some of those people made (FaZe and Optic) would have been nice.

If I could change the way my mind works I'd had definitely studied astrophysics, space has always been an attractive field to study.
