Just got into my dream school but can not afford it
I was accepted into my dream school in the US for a master in computer science. I thought I will be able to get a scholarship but the admission team just told me there is no scholarship for international students. Moreover, they are asking me a proof of ability to pay for the program. I have €20k on my bank account...
I was thinking to launch a crowdfunding campaign. Any thoughts?
thank you
If its a good program, can't you get a loan from the bank?
IIRC, the vast majority of lenders would require a co-signer that is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
I know the rates would be insanely high unless you got a co-signer, not sure how it works for international students.
I'll contribute lil cubbie.
For hard sciences, you should be aiming at a doctorate, usually a masters is a "booby prize" given for not completing a doctorate.
Also when you say your dream school, what kind of school are we talking about...The New School or MIT
Aren't there websites where people can "invest" in you and, in return, get a % of your future income? Google this and see if it's legit.
I was actually thinking about something similar. Offer x% of my future venture
A company might offer to put you through school but I think you'll have to act fast. Also the school scholarship isn't the only one out there. There are tons of scholarships available. Probably some in your home country. I had a friend that applied for 84 scholarships when they graduated HS. I think that's a little excessive but you get the idea.
