I've heard pretty horrible things about San Francisco. I am worried about the crime, the tech-dominated culture, extremely high COL (with few redeeming qualities), and poor dating scene for single guys. Especially that last point tbh...
If my firm does not allow me to switch to NYC within 6 months, I am honestly considering switching companies. Am I crazy for thinking that?

And while I'm not surprised you missed it in your haste to make a meme, OP didn't actually ask if San Francisco was as bad as "people" say it is, which would be reasonable. He took that part as gospel truth, and asked if he was crazy to demand that his employer let him relocate, or else he'd quit.

Select few districts are brutal (tenderloin) but beautiful city w bunch of neighborhoods split up by hills. Lots of young people, some are douchey ofc, dating scene definitely not an issue w lot of girls post grad working in bigger city. Food scene also 🙌
