kik for the side-chick?
I know millennials generally use kik for their tinder/okcupid/zoosk etc. matches but wondered if any of you guys 30+ use it. My self-proclaimed slogan for it is "Kik is for the side-chick." For those unfamiliar: kik is basically a text messaging app that neither user will know the other's actual phone number and you don't have to put your actual name on there either. Because of this it is a perfect app to complement your other dating apps that you use, but beware that it can also be a good app for catfishes. It is available on the app store for ios and android users.
Wasn't kik sort of created because Instagram had no way to chatting?

Also, you can cut off notifications so that you won't be chilling with your girl then get a notification, and you can hide the app in obscure folders to limit the risk of her finding it while looking through your phone.

I also know the meaning of the words 'phone', 'perfect', 'dating', and 'available' that were used in your post, along with thousands of other words in the English language, many of which were also used in your post. I was referring to the technology. I thought that was self-evident, but apparently, it wasn't.
I gotta agree with you and a few others above this post. The problem is that life initially was made easier with tech to get laid ("hey, I've got a cell phone, drunk dials mean we're around the corner from each other and we don't have to be at the same bar/party with each other to get laid"-admittedly that was before my college and young adult life when we and our female propositions actually had to be in the same physical place in the same state of sobriety to get laid-no cell phones, texts, social media-it was completely same place, same time...), then cell phones and texting (I was in the early stages of that as a single) then early social media (I don't really get that, but maybe "look at my cool FB pics with my shirt off and chicks surrounding me" and I somehow get laid), then Tinder-totally get that as a means to get laid, fucking genius tech evolution, that invention was a horndog's heaven. But now you need anon, anon messaging? It just seems to be devolving back to my college days with regard to difficulty when we didn't even have phones.

I've never heard of kik in my life, sounds like a dumb idea and completely unnecessary. Other than texting I use the act of a bish giving out her number to qualify her interest level and have a way to telephone if needed
Just keep a pass code on the phone. Turn off message, Snapchat notifications (you can do that in settings). And delete regularly.
P.S. there's an app that looks like a calculator but is actually a 'photo vault' to put the dirty pics in.

I think the disconnect is the fact that this tech is mainly suited to guys who are being naughty. This isn't for single dudes looking to hook up, but with covert operators engaging in stealth missions. Giving a girl your Kik instead of your phone number instantly lets her know you are a creep.
Ahhh now I get what this app is for...just lol. Sounds pretty sleazy
