Kind of worried..

Was out partying with some buds on Friday. Probably had one too many drinks because the last part of the night is a blur. Anyways fast forward to Sunday night, am having dinner with my folks and all of a sudden my heart feels like it's going to beat out of my chest. Feel like crap Christmas Day. Feel much better today but my chest feels like someone took a couple of punches to it. Anyways went to a clinic today and the doctor who was there (who seemed like a bit of a hack btw) said I might have something called holiday heart. Have any of you guys heard of this / dealt with it before?

Lol I get that.. does anyone have any experience with it? The Dr said not to worry and just drink a bit less. They seemed to think I was making a big deal out of it. Thoughts?

I just went through the gamut of what could have been, heart-related health issues. But at the end of this journey of me thinking that I had a heart murmur, a permanent arrhythmia and other terrible heart shit, I was simply magnesium deficient. I was prescribed to drink a ton of Gatorades, and that was it.

Through this process, I have developed a heightened sense of awareness of my heartbeat, which only compounded my anxiety and fears throughout this whole ordeal. Really, the heart shit is 99% mental. If you need peace of mind (like I did), grab an EKG and ask the doc to check for murmurs.

You're fine, you're just spazzing out. I've been there.

Probs some alcohol withdrawal. I get that from time to time. The reality is that unless you're over 55, you are pretty unlikely to die from a heart issue at rest. More than likely your anxiety about the situation is compounding it. Just relax.

Fair enough guys. I mean it is supposed to go away after 24 hours and it did. It's just weird because I know what my heart is supposed to feel like, and the rhythm was definitely off. I just don't want it to happen again. I like drinking but I also don't want it to lead to anything serious so that's why I'm worried.

It's not just the drinking. You're probably in mediocre health at best. You probably think you're fine because you're young and not dead, but you also probably can't do 15 pullups or run 30 flights of stairs. That means you have a low organ reserve, so while a very healthy person is running at say 10% just doing nothing - organs running at a low hum - you're at like 40%. Made up numbers but you get the point. Your diet is probably shit. You probably think it's not but it is. You're poorly-rested, overstressed, and physically unfit. Your organs have a low detox capacity because you do not do anything difficult and eat like shit. So even a night of hard drinking and some burgers fucks you up for a full day. You also sound like a pussy. Go do some sprints and take an ice bath.

I was thinking something like this, but hoped you would say it because ... you have a way with words. lol
