Pro players may leave the city because their teams aren't really that good anyways.
I mean, I'm sure the only thing keeping a lot of our players on the Red Wings is because of the team's history... Besides for that, the players mostly live in the suburbs (the ones they live in are really nice though) and just go in the 4 safe blocks of Detroit haha. Not exactly a bangin place to be when you're making millions and I often wonder how many free agents the rest of our sports teams have lost because it's just not the greatest place to be for some young millionaires.
