Level of math and stats used in hedge funds and prop shops(NON HFT)?

How far is it beyond undergrad calculus, linear algebra, hypothesis testing, econometrics and time series?

Also is it better to learn R and python than C++? Or will C++ be better even for non hft algo trading?
