LinkedIn Job Description Detao;

How much detail do you include on your LinkedIn job descriptions?

I'm not 100% sure how someone would review a profile, what they would look for and how much time they might spend looking at it. Is a prospective employer interested in the details of each role or does it just provide a brief indication as to whether they may be suitable.

I ask because currently I have just included the job role with a very brief description - however this seems to vary from person to person.

Thanks

Depends on your industry. Most people in finance keep it minimalist as possible - usually descriptions just tend to include the particular group they worked on. Maybe a tranx or two if they were big.

For my industry, it's highly frowned upon if you don't have a built out LinkedIn profile, so mine is really just an online version of my resume, haha.
